"Oh The Places You'll Go"

I chose to tell my life’s journey and point of view on fashion today, through Dr. Seuss’s book “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”. The book reveals the unforeseen journey of an unnamed protagonist, who passes through difficulties and fears, with an optimistic and contained perspective. Until the age of 20, I moved to different countries every two years, while collecting cultural experiences, impressive stories and quite a few difficulties. The professional term for such experiences is called TCK- Third Culture Kid.
I used the visual elements that characterize the book as a guide to convey my present feelings and emotions. For me, it was essential to add my own artistic trademarks through hand printing techniques and handmade craftmanship. Thus, all the textiles in the collection were sewn from white fabrics that I manually printed. The source of inspiration for my designs came from an intuitive creative process and physical trials.

Sketch book
My design process started with abstract drawing of water color or acrylic splashes on card board and a free hand illustration. These were added to inspiration photographs, from my childhood or the internet

Flower Dress
This dress has many secrets..
First, its a jumpsuit! and worn with biker shorts. Secondly, it was made from clear white linen that i printed my flowers, then hand painted the white fabric, and then embroidered with hundreds of cut out flowers and beads. the dress is all sewn by hand, draped on a special made corset with 3D printed boning designed by me.

Cloud Jacket and
Yellow Jumpsuit
The yellow jumpsuit was made as a tribute to the iconic protagonist in the Dr. Seuss's book. It is made our of 12 vertical panels and was cut using sustainable cutting techniques, leaving only 5% fabric waste. The cloud jacket was hand printed with a calligraphy paint brush, then outlined with a special marker. The jacket is sewn with special aluminum piping to help it hold its special structure.

Fairy Dress
This dress has a warm place in my heart. It was draped on the straight grain running along the cleavage line from center front to center back. Its made of 4 half circles in layers, exposing the different gradient of colors. All painted by hand with brushes directly onto the silk crape fabric.
